About AS400 System AI

What AS400 System AI is, how the AI-assisted editorial process works, and how it relates to AS400Software.com and BigTechReseller.

An Intelligence Platform, Not a Directory

AS400 System AI is an AI-powered hardware intelligence platform for the IBM Power ecosystem. Our mission is not to build another hardware directory.

Our mission is to continuously discover, evaluate, organize, and recommend the best IBM Power server, storage, terminal, and infrastructure hardware using AI-assisted research and human editorial expertise. We don't list everything. We surface what matters.

How AI and Editorial Judgment Work Together

AI is our intelligence engine. It continuously helps us discover hardware, monitor pricing and lifecycle status, analyze market trends, compare options, organize information, summarize research, identify patterns, and accelerate publishing.

Human expertise provides the editorial judgment. AI provides the speed.

We do not claim to be vendor neutral. We openly recommend hardware and sourcing partners we believe deserve attention. Our goal is not equal representation ... it is helping IBM Power professionals find better hardware faster. Recommendations are based on editorial review supported by AI-assisted research, and commercial participation never guarantees editorial recommendation.

How It Connects to AS400Software.com and BigTechReseller

AS400 System AI answers the hardware half of a technology decision ... what server, storage, terminal, or infrastructure should we buy? Our sibling site, AS400Software.com, answers the software half of the same decision.

BigTechReseller answers the next question ... which partner, reseller, or hardware specialist should I talk to once I understand what I need.

That separation keeps our hardware intelligence independent while still supporting partner discovery when a purchase decision needs outside help.

What You Will Find Here

The site is structured to grow into a complete IBM Power hardware intelligence resource.

  • Hardware category guides and comparison planning
  • Buyer guides, price references, and market trend reports
  • Glossary terms for IBM i hardware language and procurement concepts
  • FAQ pages for recurring buying questions
  • Editorial partner profiles for sourcing, installation, and support

How We Score and Rank Partners

When we publish a shortlist or ranking, we score sourcing partners against the same weighted criteria every time: IBM i hardware specialization, fit for the defined use case, testing and warranty practices, installation and migration support, pricing transparency, and documentation and buyer clarity.

We score only what the evidence supports and mark anything we cannot verify as not verified rather than guessing. Vendor claims count as evidence of an offered capability, not proof of superiority. Paid placement cannot change an editorial score, and we disclose when a partner holds Preferred Partner status. Rankings are re-scored after major hardware generation changes, acquisitions, discontinuations, material pricing changes, or at minimum every six months.

We never publish a "best" claim without naming the use case it applies to.
